I have been thinking about the abductors and how long they may have been waiting for Jodi to come outside. There has been talk before about having to wait for over an hour, as Jodi usually arrived at work between 3 and 3:30 am.

A thought has come to my mind. What about this scenario? What if they didn't have to wait very long, say ten or twenty minutes? Suppose that maybe, the abductor or abductors knew she was going to be late that morning ahead of time. The Monday before the abduction was a very long and tiring day for Jodi. She was at work from 3 am until 12:30 or so. Then she was at the golf tournament from 12:30 until 5:00, when she came home to change clothes, then from say 5:30 until apxt. 8:00. She called Todd in Mississippi apx 8:30, and waited until about 9:30 for Kelly to call back, so she probably didn't get to bed until ten that night.

It is no surprise to me that she would have been very tired Tuesday morning and the reason she had overslept. So, to sum it up, did the abductor(s) know she would be late the next morning, and perhaps the abductor(s) knew they weren't going to have to wait long for her to come out?

You make a very solid point. Could explain a few things in this case. A few people have talked about how the killer 'had' to commit the crime that morning, so he waited unusually long for her. I think if the killer knew she had a long day, he could have assumed she was just running late and slept in. I don't think this point has ever been brought up. Good thinking.

I have also heard a lot about how the abduction 'had to be this particular day' and would like to hear feedback as to what was on Jodi's schedule for that particular day that this person(s) had to abduct her ... has there been any investigation as to what appointments she may have had scheduled, meetings etc. that 'someone' may not have wanted her to attend. Just a thought.

It's my understanding that the people that belive that the abduction had to be that day think this is because Jodi overheard something at the golf tournament she shouldn't have (potentially from Angela Johnson who is said to have worked at the tournament).
