Maybe a dumb question but could you gain access to the FBI and MCPD files on this case through a Freedom of Information Act request?  For some reason I am thinking no because of the fact that it is a "supposed" active investigation but I have gotten all kinds of information in the about military discharges and things of a sensitive nature in the past.  I personally think if all the info were given to Josh and Gary that it would allow them to better run the site and actually we might be amazed as to how quickly this actually got solved.  The people on this forum are a literal think tank and their is no shame to LE of letting people with open minds and different views and ways of looking at things try to solve this case.  At this point it could do nothing but help justice be served and help the family which is what it is all supposed to be about. Right?

Problem is since Jodi Huisentruit is still an active Cold Case FOIA would not apply. Due to the complex nature of this case and so many different angles to look at it might harm the investigation. FOIA how ever would apply to public records only.wink
