It's not known for certain if a white van was involved in the abduction of Jodi Huisentruit from the parking lot of her apartment complex in the early morning hours of June 27, 1995, but the white van has nonetheless become perhaps the most widely-known detail in the case. Using public witness accounts of the van sighting, television footage from the morning Jodi was abducted, and feedback from the FindJodi team, reader Sam Gullickson used professional animation software to create this 3D approximation of what the scene may have looked like at approximately 4:15 AM on June 27, 1995.

It will be thirty years on June 27 since KIMT-TV news anchor Jodi Huisentruit was abducted on her way to anchor the morning news in Mason City, Iowa. Former KIMT-TV evening anchor Brian Mastre shared a copy of the two-page script he read to viewers that day, informing them of the concerning news about his colleague who was reported missing. He also noted Jodi had not missed a day of work that year.
