Just more than month after our FindJodi.com billboard in Mason City, Iowa, was defaced, it’s still a mystery who was responsible and what was the motive. But thanks to generous donations to FindJodi.com, we’ve been able to put another billboard up for months to come.
The new billboard has been installed on Monroe Avenue and State Road 122 in Mason City.

Mason City police have said an officer on patrol on North Federal Avenue on New Year’s Eve spotted the vandalism, which included the name of the former lead detective on the case and the words “machine shed” spray painted in yellow letters. A ladder was also recovered at the scene, according to a statement from MCPD to the news media.
“One of our officers on patrol found the vandalism to the billboard at 13th Street and N Federal Avenue just after midnight on January 1, 2020. We would ask that anyone with information about the vandalism to call the Mason City Police Department. Officers did recover a ladder at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.”
A manager at a nearby gas station said they turned over surveillance video to police but that the images were not very clear.

Jodi told John Vance ” I just want to be friend’s ” John wanted more then just friends. So i think in John’s mind, if i can’t have her no one can.
Scott –
John Vansice, on more than one occasion, said he treated Jodi like his daughter. I think we are all disgusted when we see the videos of him saying that. It absolutely clear that he wanted to be with her. The video of her birthday party. Naming his boat after her. Inviting her over the night before she disappeared when he knew she was at a charity golf event and needed to be to work at 3am.
If he is not involved, he’s done everything he could do to paint himself as the murderer. If Vansice didn’t take Jodi, he paid someone to do it. He threw a party after he passed the polygraph test. An innocent person does NOT do that. How many red flags are needed before MCPD does something?
Have dogs been sent to anything Frank has built since 1995? Too many things do not add up for MCPD. There seems to be a massive cover up. What was the excuse used by MCPD when they fired the female officer for reporting a tip regarding two officers? She was unjustly fired or she would not have been paid a settlement.
3 officers, Frank included, were contacted several times by the pastor of the church. The calls are documented, but all 3 claim to have never talked to the pastor.
Was someone turning their back(s) and collecting drug money. Did Jodi know something or see someone she knew on the morning of June 27, 1995. If she knew “too much” or saw someone, the scum would have to have killed her. Did they not mean to kill her, but she died and caused them to have to covered up the murder?
25 years with documents continually being sealed, wiping the dust off of the file of Tony Jackson that WCCO in Minneapolis sent. Discounting “Cindy’s” recalling of witnessing Jodi’s murder. There was known corruption back in 1995. There are several suspects, but everything keeps coming back to MCPD in one way or another.
Strange video “Mason City man, neighbor of Jodi Huisentruit, says MCPD” posted to YouTube by Matt Marquardt 8 years ago.
Man claims he was Jodi’s neighbor. He got home at 3am the morning Jodi disappeared. Found a note that they were going to change his furnace filter. He thought he should clean until 4:30pm. Heard screams in parking lot that lasted for one minute. He didn’t check to see what was happening.
The interviewer in the video then asks if the MCPD had anything to do with the disappearance of Jodi. The man replies “Absolutely not.”
The interviewer is from NorthIowaToday.com
This man claims to have not seen anything. He thought the screams in the parking lot were related to the people above him. Since he didn’t see anything, and didn’t care enough to check on a screaming woman in the parking lot, how can he say MCPD had nothing to do with Jodi’s disappearance? VERY strange to see the video edited to jump specially to a question to clear MCPD. The interviewer logically would have asked the man why he didn’t look outside or call 911.
Was this man questioned? If he came from the railroad, who else was there with him? Who were the people above him that he thought was screaming in the parking lot? Why didn’t a single person in that apartment building lift a finger to help a female screaming in their parking lot? 6 rooms faced the direction of Jodi’s car. Who at the apartments knows something?
48 Hours has a terrible YouTube video of the inside of Jodi’s apartment. It looks like someone just gave them a key and let them go inside. The video is sloppy. It does show one thing:
The clock on the VCR is flashing.
This means the power went out at some point. Is this why Jodi overslept? Did authorities find other digital clocks flashing? Did someone purposely cause a power outage?
Seems like everyone is assuming that authorities did what they should have done. Is there absolute confirmation that everything was done?
Why does the policeman’s wife have access to Jodi’s journal? Why does she send it anonymously to the newspaper? When she is identified as the person who did it, what happened? I believe little or nothing. How is that not a HUGE RED FLAG?
