Well Said Observer -

I think there may be something here.

I know that Gary has said It's Right In Front of Us

Which could mean two things:

1) The Perp is right in Front of us as in television, on the news perhaps?

or

2) She is right in front of us, her remains?
Perhaps there's something that sticks out in Mason City or close by.
Structures such as Windmills and Silo's, Old Barns, Outbuildings, Landmarks.

I sense this was something done by locals, who knew the area well, and had a plan and a time-frame to accomplish it within and then quickly put on a (seemingly) normal façade. Iowans in general can be super-territorial; Jodi was admired and successful in the small but competitive MC market…in those days, everyone started in small markets and looked to jump to bigger ones…Jodi was a threat to young females at the station, probably professionally and socially (was there a local drug mob and she knew too much about the wrong people?). The viewing audience liked Jodi's girl-next-door appeal, there was likely jealousy, and she was "in the way"; a fish out of water, a sweet MN girl passing thru foreign/claimed turf.
[b]Maybe whoever did this to Jodi also had involvement in her friend Billy's death? It just seems too coincidental...

Interesting comments Observer which brings me to a question for Gary, with all the comments we who are interested in finding justice and peace for Jodi have made there must have been questions brought up on the site that were not asked in your interview of her family back then that to this day the police will never answer but the family can. Just filling some gaps could help.

From what I read and understand about Jodi was that she was close to her family particularly her sister and mother, she must have confided information to them that may help answer some of our questions. With those answers may help lead us down a new or branch path of reasoning. I don't know how receptive the family is, I'm sure they have this empty whole that will never be filled, but knowing there are people like you and Josh and others who care may help us.
