QuoteI moved to the north about 11 years ago. I had heard the abduction of Jodi mentioned a time or two, but didn't know anything about the case. The library where I work recently purchased Beth Bednar's book "Dead Air". I am an avid true crime reader and immediately grabbed the book. I live close to the Minnesota state park mentioned in the book and found myself wanting to go search that area! It doesn't sound like much attention was given to searching that area. Does anyone know if it was? Another thought: I know they sent divers to the lakes / ponds (?) close to Jodi's apartment and they said they couldn't see anything in the water. Were the lakes ever drained???? Hello!?!? It just doesn't seem to me that a thorough search for remains has taken place. It sounds as if there were never any real clues - not even at the beginning. My heart goes out to the family. I pray that someday soon we'll have more answers - at least find her remains.

K2, welcome to the site. Read up on what is available here with our thoughts and ideas, yours are welcome we never know where or how that break in the case comes. Ideas may spark someones memory or tug on their humanism if they know something. I for one check the site daily, hoping for that day that they found Jodi or someone came forward to eventually get to that point.

I went to the park a couple of times to search.
The second roads north of the park enterance going east takes you down an eroded dirt road that turns back south and then east again. There is a wooded area there that goes down a lane to the river or lake. That area was described to me by a famous psychic from Australia before I visited the park. Everything she said fit the discription of the area.
I took a couple of walks down that lane with a couple of friends from this web site. On one trip the temperature was about 100+. Thought I would die. Any way we made it down to the water and searched the tree area by the shore.
There was also a railroad track there that went over the water at that point. I haven't posted any of the pictures from there on my Flickr page. Maybe I should.
There were a couple of places there that were interesting and gave off strange vibs. Considering this is where the glaciers stopped and native americans had settlements.
There were several area before the park enterence that someone could drive into and not be noticed. Also, this is not many miles from Austin, Mn where a couple suspects lived at the time... One of them torched his white van days after Jodi's disappearance.

I have uploaded a few pictues from Myre-Big Island State Park
North end where the Rail Road tracks go over the water.
I cant find all the pictures I want, so they must be on another computer.
Back in the beginning everything was on film and pictures had to be developed. Now they are digital, but I didnt scanned all the pictures from film.
When I find them I will have to do that. In the mean time I posted a few.

The white van was torched and that wasn't suspicious?? I wonder why - if it's common knowledge - that fact wasn't mentioned in Beth Bednar's book? I wonder how safe she is after publishing that book?!?!?

I was only able to find a few pictures so far, but I will add more when I find them and scan them.
Been real busy lately.

To k2sj2.. I am the original psychic who first posted about my feelings concerning the park in MN. After my first visit with LE in August of 2000, I returned to my home in NE Iowa. I used an ability to "map dowsing" with just my fingers on a map. Once I felt I had the right area, I sat down, wrote out a list of items I could feel about the area. ON MY FIRST VISIT TO THE PARK EVERYONE OF THE ITEMS WERE THERE IN PLACE!! One of the items was "The chapel across the way", and I found there was a chapel for worship in the park, and it looked out over the lake!! Then in 2006, I was told that an other psychic picked the SAME area where I thought the body might be! Although I have been on many searches both in the park alone, and with others, I still keep an open mind about where Jodi's remains might be.
