Poor Police Work?

My husband is a police officer on a force of more than 2,000; I'm a reporter/anchor. In reading everything on this site, the posts in the forum and speculation from its posters, I have drawn the conclusion that this is a case of shoddy police work.

Seriously, cases have been solved with much, much less than what these guys have. They have a partial handprint; vehicle descriptions; a name that was yelled out; a diary; prior calls for help from her, etc. Plus they have semi-decent witness accounts.

Mason City isn't a very large town. I imagine they probably had a police force of officers who didn't do much all day, let alone solve kidnapping/possible murder cases. Think back to the JonBenet Ramsey case - remember how the police butchered it? Ruined evidence? Didn't investigate properly?

I think something's gotta give here. Police need to release that name or let Josh & Gary see the evidence. Whoever said it before was right; it's been 14 years, they have nothing. Time to let the general public take a crack at it. The more time that passes, the more opportunity for something to happen to the suspect (death, sickness etc)

I'm going to see if I can get my husband to read some of these articles and posts. He has a great intuition as a police officer. He is able to sniff stuff out right away. Hopefully we can help.

I hope you can help too.

Intuition keeps telling me something doesn't add up with this case.
For the life of me I cannot understand why a cold case squad hasn't reviewed the investigation files and whatever evidence is being held.

Why the name that Jodi apprently called out has never been released is a mystery as well.

Reporter1;

Welcome aboard, we need everyone's help. Any idea no matter how small may be the key that sets things in motion. I do this because Jodi can't speak for herself, her family deserves more. The animal(s) who did this evidently have no problem sleeping at night. If you believe in a hereafter, their time will come.
