I found this post listed below from the old forum posted by Concerned. I find the information very interesting.....

Concerned

Apr 30, 2006 - 3:19PM QuoteReply Re: Guy who told me what he "thought" happened to Jodi...

In 2002 I met a guy. We had a date. We had supper and then watched a movie on TV on a Wednesday night. When the movie was over about 10 o'clock, I went to the TV and started to rewind the VCR, sitting in front of my TV, waiting for the movie to re-wind. The WEATHER CHANNEL came on my screen, and there was KRISTINA ABERNATHY giving the Weather Report...I looked at this guy, and said, "My Gosh! I can't believe how much this Newslady looked like Jodi Huisentruit!" I had just gotten Cable TV and had never seen Kristina Abernathy do the Weather before. (We had not discussed Jodi at all that evening---I wasn't even thinking about Jodi, and to this day, I don't know why I even said anything about Kristina looking like Jodi.) He didn't say anything at first...then I looked back at him and I said, "You know who Jodi Huisentruit was, don't you?" To this he replied, "Yes, I know who she was." His voice changed, when he said this to me. Silence. Then he said to me, "My brother had a blind-date set-up with Jodi and they were going out the night she disappeared." I was surprised at this, and said, "He had a date with JODI? Did you tell the Police this?" To this he replied, "No, we didn't tell anybody." I'm getting a weird feeling...a creepy feeling about this conversation. I looked back at the TV and then I said to him, "You know, it's strange how somebody can just make a body disappear...how did they do this? How did they just make Jodi just dissapear???" To this he replied, "Oh...that was the easy part." His exact words. So, I said back to him, "Oh, just how was that so easy? How do you just make a body disappear?" To this he replied, "Well, you take the body, you put it in a hog incinerator, and you burn the body up." I replied, "Yes, I guess that's one way to make a body disappear." I stood up, went to my door and opened it and told him he'd have to leave, as I had to get up the next day to go to work. He left. On the following Saturday, this person and I talked on the phone, and he told me the whole story of what he "thought" happened to Jodi. At the time Jodi disappeared, this person actually did have a brother living in Mason City, when Jodi disappeared. The guy I had the date with was living in Klemme, Iowa, when Jodi vanished. His job? He worked at a hog confinement set-up near Rockwell, Iowa, and another one at Swaledale, Iowa. Did he and maybe his brother grab Jodi that morning in the parking lot, take her to the hog confinement, rape and eventually kill her, and then put her in the hog incinerator? I've been asking myself this since 2002.

Good find, maybe something to that. Pigs could eat just about anything. Not a nice thing to think about.

Once again, this story goes nowhere without a name or other info....I hope someone contacts this person to get more details. But what was her point in posting in the first place, if she was just gonna leave us hanging??

Yes, it's a good find and an interesting read but a couple of questions come to mind.

I know nothing of Jodi's dating history but would she be the type of lady to go on a blind date?

From the guys standpoint why on earth would you abduct, rape and murder your date before the event?

One other thought...........if this person blabbed so easily in 2002 the odds are he would have done the same before and repeated it after.

2 + 2 appear to equalling 5 with this story. JMHO.

the best question is: did anyone from findjodi ever attempt to contact this person or refer it to police?

OneEyed;

This type of post, although it seemed not to have the conclusion we all would hope for is actually the type of post we want. Someone with a conscience that wants to come forward and really doesn't know how. Someone who has something they think is relevant and wants to get it off their chest. I only hope either this person has more info or others that do are feeling the same impulse to say something.

We are actually appealing to those that might have info, didn't do it but are caught up in a situation where they may be having a hard time dealing with what they do know. That's why the tip line was set up, to help you get the information out anonymously. Bringing out what you've been keeping inside so long that may keep you up at night.

I'm sure Jodi and her family would appreciate that.

Vinny, I know what you mean, I went through the old forum the other night, and its just really frustrating to read similar posts like this that sound like maybe this case will finally go somewhere, but it just hasn't...I guess I just don't understand why someone will leave a post like this, and then not leave any other info to follow up on...especially since this post was from ?? or so years ago, I mean, this is just one of many that sound really intriguing but yet, they lead to nowhere...I just cant stand the fact of knowing that people are getting away of these crimes in the city I live in.

Once again, these links go nowhere when I try to open them.  Can anyone else get them open?

The original post on this topic at the time was a thought I had about how she could just disappear without a trace. Iowa being such a huge farming area the thought of her body being dispersed this way seemed plausible to me. There was the woman who the police discarded as lying about confessing to witnessing her murder and that her body was dismembering seemed to have a ring of truth to it. But both the police and moderators believe that woman was lying.

I think the story told in this post sounds true to what may actually have happened. Why someone would not pursue the matter further either anomalously or directly with authorities who really knows. If there is any truth to this post, maybe the posting of it relieved that bit of stress they had about holding that information back but didn't want to get involved further.

As sad as this may sound but the more time that goes by, the chances become very small she or the murderers will ever be found or caught.

Remember Mr. Wu's pigs in Deadwood?  I hope this isn't what happened to Jodi's remains.  I really don't buy off on the blind date and brother murdering her.  After reading Beth Bednar's book, I honestly believe Jodi knew her attacker very well, because she shouted a name. According to this story, the blind date hadn't occurred yet. I think the guy who murdered Jodi was a "friend," attacked her in a fit of alcohol fueled rage, that he acted alone and, for once in his life, has managed to keep his mouth shut.

But, just in case someone knows something, anything, I hope they will come forward soon, either in the very safe environment of this forum, or directly to Josh or Gary.   Jodi deserves better.

the man from rural Mason City who was murdered in his home during that time period whom Jodi openly thought was handsome and was close friends with, what was his name? He was mentioned in the Bednar Book. It is interesting to me that his case was unsolved as well. Perhaps one killer?
