Something I read in the book caught my attention in particular.

It mentioned that Angela who lied and killed along with Dustin Honken mentioned that she was there and was a witness to Jodi's abduction. Then a reporter asked her in prison about it and she said she had nothing to do with Jodi's abduction. And people are suppose to believe her??? Which lie are we suppose to believe??? Both statements cant be true.

Did they give her a lie detector test? I say skip the lie detector test... she is on death row... go for the truth serum and get some answers. She was there at the same event as Jodi hours before Jodi was abducted. There were so many things in that book that show a pattern of connecting dots..

People who knew one another like John and Dustin and Angie and Jodi and Bill... and for years I have heard from the authorities no one knew anyone.

I still say Jodi accidently saw a drug deal the evening before and Angela called Dustin and told him and they waited to stop Jodi from going to work and spilling the beans. And the more I read the book the more I believe it to be a very good possibility.

I think you may be confusing her with another woman who was mentioned...this other woman, in 2006, claimed she was a runaway and met up with 2 guys that killed Jodi while she watched...she later recanted this statement and had to pay a hefty fine for making a false statement.

OR... Could it have been someone like they said on 20/20 episode.. This person had a tv and watched the news and had a fantasy/obsession with Jodi.. He may have watched her for months going to and leaving her job and home (she only stayed 5 mins away from her job so it wasnt hard for him at all to locate her).. He prob knew throughout the time of his obsession that she was late so many times a week because he had been following and watching her. Would Someone she knew well risk a neighbor in the bldg getting a look at their face that morning????

Keep in mind she had just gotten her new car a few weeks prior so he already knew that as well. Who knows maybe she turned him down before and he never got over it.. I just hope they find out something because he has basically gotten away with this for 16 long years.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not talking about Cindy. I am referring to Angela Johnson who is on death row awaiting execution for murdering 5 people including 2 beautiful little girls.

Dead Air.... quote from page 168...

"More than one "tip" over the years revealed that Johnson supposedly told someone "she was there" when Jodi was kidnapped and presumably killed the morning after the golf banquet."

"While in prisoned, Angela Johnson was asked point blank by a reporter whether she had anything to do with Huisentruit's disappearance." ... (then the author stated her opinion I dont happen to share... then...) ... "Johnson denied having had any knowledge about the case, and said neither she nor Honken had any connections to Jodi, in life or in death."
BUT!!!!... "As a matter of fact, Johnson held a job as a waitress at the Mason City Country Club, and she had actually been part of the staff on duty for the golf event banquet that Jodi attended the night before she disappeared."

Killers of little girls lie.........I still say Jodi accidently saw a drug deal the evening before and Angela called Dustin and told him and they waited to stop Jodi from going to work and spilling the beans. And the more I read the book the more I believe it IS a very good possibility.

Look up the court records on line to see just how cold blooded they were. Public Records.

Ok for some reason i didnt remember that, so i referred to page 168...Thank you...
Yes i remember thinking that the drug dealer theory got stronger afer reading about Honken and Angela...VERY coincidental that she just happened to be working at the country club where Jodi was the night before she disappeared...I for one dont really believe in "coincidences"...

I love the idea of a truth serum!! Is that really a possibility? And i wonder, if they're on death row already, why not just admit they did it? What is there to lose??/

They were in prison first for drug related issues. Then Angela decided that if she drew a map of where they buried the bodies and gave the map to someone on death row who was... what the heck... going to die anyway. They could confess to the murders in exchange for money for their families or threats against their families.

Dustin attempted to have murders committed when he was in prison. He had money and connections on the outside. Hell, he even tried to have Angela killed.

Unfortunately for Angela and Dustin the informent turned the map over to the police and then they got convicted of the 5 murders. Like I said, you can look up the court records (federal) on line. Dustin even had a death row journal on line for a while. Poor guy got cold the first few nights in prison without a blanket.

It also tells in the book that a garage by the name of Chris something paid rent to Dustin Honken and John use to go to that garage a lot to have his vans worked on instead of having them serviced at the dealers where they should have been.

Honkens Grandfather use to own that garage before Chris and Grandpa worked on motor cycles. I found the address in an old old Mason City phone book and went there on one of my trips to MC and took pictures. It is now an animal shelter and storage units. Pictures on my flickr account.

Dustin and Angela were good at hiding dead bodies. Heck they had gotten away with 5 murders in 1993 before Jodi was abducted. The police would have never found those bodies if it had not been for Angela map. In 1995 they must have felt like super villians. They didnt go to jail until 1997 I believe and it was 2000 that the map was drawn.

There was a purse found years later along the Winnebago River that belonged to the first dead woman near Fertile. That was miles away from where she was buried. Think about it... why did they dump it way north of the burial sites?

Angela Johnson may be lying, but I don't think so. Here's why.

If she knew anything about Jodi, she definitely could have used that knowledge at any point as a bargaining chip to get charges reduced, or avoid the death penalty. The incentive to lie, for her, was to create the impression she knew something.

So what if she was a waitress? In a smallish city, people are coincidentally in the same room together all the time. I was probably in the same establishment with either Honken or Johnson at some point in time.

Beyond that, Johnson and Honken killed out of perceived necessity -- to get rid of a witness that could bring them a long prison sentence -- and since, outside the context of the trial, their victims were relative nobodies, probably underestimated police diligence in finding them. Beyond the potential witnesses at the drug trial, one of whom they 'had to' get at by going to his girlfriend's house, their other victims were potential witnesses in the kidnapping and murder trial they hoped would never happen.

Again, prove for a fact Jodi knew something about their operation intimately enough, and was plausibly moving in the direction of revealing it to authorities, or this is a dead end. It is totally out of character for Honken and Johnson, sickos that they were, to hit a high-profile target who was not in a position to make a good witness against them.
