What makes this so difficult to resolve......?

Passing Through

I think about all the cases that have been resolved. And maybe some that have not...(Natalee Holloway).

But for some reason this one seems to have grabbed me by the collar. Why is it that NO ONE has a good idea of who did this, much less where Jodi's remains are located.

I have been studying this case for a few years now. And I am just stumped. I have my ideas, but have to admit I am perplexed Jodi has not been found this much later.

Ideas as to why this has drug on sooo long?

Time of day she was abducted?

She was high profile soo that works against her!

Lack of witnesses...but there were a number of people that heard her scream!

Lack of cooperation from LE? After 14 years still holding all the evidence sealed.

I don't know....someone want to add on?

For me the 'big three' things making this case difficult to solve are:

Lack of motive. It's difficult to understand why Jodi was abducted.

Lack of witnesses. It seems nobody saw this happen.

No body. Jodi has not been found.

I would add some more items to the list of the big three (3)

number four (4)......

Why is there no STREET TALK about this case? Was it because there was only one (1) party involved? That might be why the stuff was scatered
accross the parking lot.

Maybe five (5) is that the person who did this no longer knows that he did it?? Stranger things have happened in our world!!

This may or may not figure in to what happened to jodi, but in general, it seems like a lot of Iowans operate on a "keeping score" basis...a lot of them have a chip on their shoulder, especially if they feel they may be being treated unfairly or as if they are always on the defensive for someone honing in on their territory...with jodi being from MN, is there anyone who's motive might have been to "get jodi out of the way"?

well there is a motive
somebody out there was obsessed with her
wanted her all to themselves
look at that actress, Rebecca Schaefer, that was killed (1989?) by a stranger who got her address from California Motor Vehicle Dept.

look at John Hinckley who tried to shoot Ronald Reagan and had an obsession about Jodie Foster

when you are a public figure, this can happen

Mary, I started working on Jodi's behalf in 2000..5 years after the fact...I am in total
agreement with your theory..I have from moment one (1) thought that Jodi was abducted and
killed for that reason!! Although I dont have any proof that is what happened, I still believe that is WHY she was taken....and hopefull that someday she will be found and returned, so that the family can put her to rest.

Yeah, fair points raised here.
Maybe it was the 'if I can't have you then nobody can' scenario.

However there appears no strong motive for anyone known to Jodi to have abducted and murdered her.

Was Jodi dead before she left the parking area at Key Apartments?

You are right I think Sixties, about no clear motive from someone she knew
and I still think it was a fan who had a very unhealthy view of her..and in my reading of some cases, the fan feels if he could only talk to the person, that he would be loved in return!! I do think the abductor tried to catch her, and when she fought him, he hit her hard. I think he got her into his vehicle..and I am guessing that she was perhaps dazed from the strike, and that once he got her away from the parking lot..she may have come to, and started trying to get away from him, and perhaps she might be screaming...and he lost control!!

I have followed this case since 2005. It is about as cold as it gets I think. I believe there is a lack of real leads because it was one person, an acquaintance, sexual predator or stalker of some kind. I think I would look deeply into Jodi's love life clear back to her college days. Just feels like some someone had other ideaz for Jodi and she didnt agree, so they were slighted.
