How on earth can investigators be excused for having an investigation listed as active for over 15 years.
Especially when they can’t even nominate a suspect.

As a layman I would expect investigating detectives to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice for Jodi.

Have fresh eyes in the form of Cold Case detectives ever examined this case?
This question has been posed previously and nobody knows the answer.
Why on earth would an organization like the MCPD want to keep a Cold Case investigation secret?

From my vantage point the Jodi Huisentruit case is like a black hole.
Nothing escapes from black holes, not even light.
So, nothing escapes from Jodi’s case files either. Any new information or tips go into that file.
None of that information ever see’s the light of day again.

What possible excuse can a police department have for letting case sit in the doldrums like this one?
What possible excuse is there for this case being listed as ‘active’ when it is as cold as ice?
What possible excuse is there for not having a cold case squad examine the case with fresh eyes?

After all the MCPD want this case solved don’t they?
Well, don’t they?

I am just curious why they haven't bothered to solve the case of who really killed Bill Pruin!!! Why doesn't anyone care?

Solve that case and it might lead to solving Jodi's case. What ever happened, Mr. Purin deserves closure as well.

Good point Curious George!

Along with yourself many people believe there is a link with the Pruin/Huisentruit cases.
I presume the Billy Pruin case is active too.

How many active but unsolved cases is there in this area?

Should there be a law dictating that after ten years it is mandatory for a cold case squad to review any given case.
Too many people are getting away with murder.

Lets face it Pruins case was quickly shrugged off as a suicide at first. But maybe the simplest answer to the question of why nothing seems to be done in solving Jodi's case is the answer, It's not meant to be solved. Just allowed the passage of time. Why? to protect someone, but all we are allowed to do is speculate because it makes us think we are helping solve this for Jodi. MCPD don't care it's an active case that they can't comment on, case closed.
