Shoring up Jodi’s timeline: a race against the clock

By Caroline Lowe · On March 15, 2017

With the 22nd anniversary of Jodi Huisentruit’s abduction just three months away, our FindJodi.com team has been focusing on firming up Jodi’s timeline in the 24-48 hours before she disappeared.

For the second time in a week, we learned today that someone we hoped might be able to help provide information on Jodi’s last hours – had passed away.

With every day that goes by without finding Jodi, the passage of time is one of the biggest challenges to solving this case.

That’s why we are appealing again.

Please contact our FindJodi team via a private Facebook message or email us if you, or someone you know, was at the Mason City Country Club for a Chamber of Commerce golf tournament dinner on June 26, 1995.

Also, please let us know if you played in that golf tournament that day at either the Highland Park Golf Course or Mason City Country Club.

Jodi was at the club from about 3:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., according to people interviewed by our FindJodi.com team.

Thanks for you help.

It’s been 22 years, so I think a race against the clock isn’t an appropriate title. I hope this mystery gets solved someday. Her family and friends have suffered far too long.

I watched the TV special about Miss Huisentruit’s disappearance. I had been interested in the disappearance since I reported to Rochester, MN police my discovery of a small bright blue purse in a washed out ravine in a remote area of Whitewater Wildlife Management Area. That purse was just too odd, too dressy an item to be found that far out in the wilderness and it made me think of the missing woman. Anyway, after watching the special, I could not help recognizing the overt attention Miss Huisentruit was receiving from the older gentleman that they reported was the last person to have seen her alive. They said she actually went to this man’s house to watch a movie the night before she went missing. I’m sorry, a guy that much older having that kind of creepy interest in her …1) what was she thinking going to his house alone at night, and 2) that old guy acted like every other smitten weirdo who ever was the perpetrator on DATELINE. How is that man cleared of suspicion? I can see it happening; she unintentionally lead him to believe he had a chance at love with her and he got really angry when she rebuffed him. According to the TV magazine, she was blowing his financial wad on her like someone who had lost his mind over pursuing her. THAT’s the profile of a killer who doesn’t get what he’s put all his marbles on getting. Her! Ya don’t go over to the house of a desperate man like that at night to watch a movie with him alone.

Police do not even believe she ever was at his apartment to watch home movies of the surprise birthday party he had thrown for her, because of when she is said to have left the golf tournament and when she is known to have made a phone call to a friend before going to bed.
