When did news of Jodi’s disappearance break?

Can anyone local help me uncover exactly when the news of Jodi being missing was released to the public? Amy Kuns got on the air and did Jodi’s show, without explaining Jodi’s absence and everyone seems to agree that the police were not called until 7:15am. I’ve seen the KIMT clip when they do announce that Jodi is missing did that air on June 27th later in the day or not until June 28th? 
After 7:15am did the police presence at Jodi’s apartment complex attract a large crowd? Was word about Jodi being missing out around town immediately that morning? Thank you.

I remember it being on KCRG news on June 28th 1995, so I imagine it went state-wide either on the evening of June 27th or some time on the 28th.
