[img] Why has Maria Ohl been fired for following a false lead in Jodi’s case while others at the Mason City Police Department who have followed dozens of false leads in the case not been fired ?

I was wondering the exact same thing. I have a hard time believing the officers named were directly involved but I could be wrong. There is usually some truth mixed in the pudding. Everytime there has been new information with this case over the years they (MCPD) have always been very quick to rule it out which makes a person wonder if they know who is responsible for some reason. Either way I think the FBI should be walking in their doors and thorougly investigating this given Ohl's statements. I also find it almost hillarious that the DCI released a statement on MCPD's behalf given Basler was named also. I feel for the officers named if Ohl is lying or out for attention but I still think it should be looked into by someone other than the DCI or MCPD in my opinion.
