I found the transcript of former MCPD Officer M Ohl’s unemployment benefits (that was denied - she was fired - but later on won a $95k settlement from the city of MC - I believe in an additional discrimination hearing).  So there is at least some level of credibility admitted by MC/on record as fact...

I find the transcript Very interesting - including info I’ve not seen published anywhere so far...

Esp: “On December 26, 2009, the claimant responded to a disturbance call and encountered a person who provided her with alleged tips relating to the 1995 disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit and the 1999 murder of Gerald Best. These cases remain open and the informant alleged that three Mason City police officers and one former DCI Agent were involved in the murder or a cover-up of one or both of these cases. The person who provided this information was intoxicated.

Apparently the informant was reinterviewed at some point after this - but denied even saying it. But it WAS taped on Officer Ohl’s car recorder - that auto loads into MCPD records database.  The dilemma she was in was if or who to report it to?...  Apparently, she didn’t report it to anyone (would you?  Seriously?) & the MCPD threw her under the bus due to that & a personal note copy she made of it & a chat with the chief - if I’m reading this correctly.).

If that’s all true/I’m assembling & interpreting things correctly  & I’m not missing anything else of significance, IMHO it surely sounds like she got railroaded & pushed under a big old MC-wide deception train!

MO: If you’re reading this & can help, please “share”?  Jodi’s family deserves answers & that’s not going to happen the way things stand...
