Someone wanted the diary pages read. Did this come from the police department property room, or had someone looked at her diary previous to make copies which meant they had entry to her apartment. John Vansice seemed to be everywhere she was, and if he knew she was trying to move and he was obsessed by her it could have pushed him over the edge. He could have mentioned Arizona as a place and somewhere he planned to go.  He had watched her be admired by other men, even when he was throwing parties for her and buying her gifts. Did he also finance her car? She mentions his son gave her water skiing tips. He saw her flirt with other guys on a boat. Then she refers to having so many viewer friends.  It's clear she didn't see John as a potential boyfriend. But everything points to his wanting more with her. Were the trips and party enough for him to make a move she rejected? Did his need to control her get the best of him? He seems like someone who  may have stalked her, watching where she was. And why did he call the station that morning to see if she was there?  What did he know and what did he see? He went walking early in the morning but did he spend the night at his home? The woman he walks with believes this but how does she know. Did he have that huge wall built around his Arizona home? What is he hiding from. If he's innocent than he has had a terrible life since Jodi's disappearance. If he knows something he needed to come forward with it. I keep remembering how he said, "I loved that girl. She was so easy to love." The diary supports his friendship with her. Is this what he wanted everyone to see.
