I think she did know her attacker/s. I also believe this is more then one person involved. I think it was an organized operation.
I think she knew her attacker through other people that surrounded her.
I don't know if I would say angry but I think more likely she knew something that put the operation at risk. If this is true then she had to be taken out. IMHO.
