It’s interesting to me that no one has posted anything regarding the suspect that has the exact MO in another crime in the Midwest. He stole vehicles and committed a lot of burglaries around Mason City. He was out on appeal in June of ’95 and was looking at going back to jail. Of course the Mason City PD knew immediately we shouldn’t jump to conclusions. I wonder if they were lazy (like the Tony Jackson investigation), or if they are convinced it started in the apartment and carried out to the parking lot. Do they already know who did it, but don’t have enough evidence? They made a movie about the person I’m talking about, and it will be on Lifetime Movie Network on 9/6/15 at 9:00pm CT. The movie is called “Taken in Broad Daylight”, and it’s about how a young woman that was taken from a parking lot in a stolen white van. Here’s the response from the Mason City Police about the suspect, along with the “thousands of other things” they had to check out. Does he have an alibi? I wonder if they ever checked it out.
