I am not asking if you can divulge a name, but has the author of these letters been identified?
I find it intriguing that the letters only come to light now; makes one curious if they were only just unearthed by the person who sent them to you, or were they held onto for some reason until now? Definitely a mystery....

Say goodbye to those letters or any information going forward. After all these years it takes FindJodi website to come up with information. What exactly has all those "Fresh Eyes" been doing all this time, I hope you kept copies.

We appreciate your patience on the lack of info coming from these letters. We are not releasing the name of the person at this point. What we can tell you is the person is deceased and is not mentioned throughout this forum. He was a brief acquaintance of Jodi's and at this point - we don't suspect him of anything tied to her disappearance, but we wanted to turn the letters over in supporting the case. We have copies of the letters and realize that we will not be receiving the originals back. As far as I understand - any evidence turned over in the case has not been returned to owners until the case is solved. But there are some exceptions: the car, etc.

Thanks for posting your comments on the forum! Glad everyone is keeping up the dialogue.

For what its worth, the letter posted on the homepage sounds harmless enough; the fact that the author is deceased, as well as the fatherly tone throughout, leads me to believe he was an older man whom Jodi befriended. In BB's book about Jodi she mentions her tendency to gravitate toward older(successful) men, mostly as friends(or more, but who really knows?)
I doubt we'll hear much more about these letters from LE. Unless, of course, they miraculously lead to clues that actually solve this case.

I agree Rach about the letter sounding harmless however, I thought someone said Jodi wrote in her journal in June that she had just brought the car.. Not sure if she had it for even a month so obviously he knew that pretty fast.

Does anyone Remember on the Huisentruit Files when Joanne ( Jodi's sister) said that she got a letter from someone saying the man from down the street in gray house (or something like that) used to stalk Jodi?? But he was dead by that time Joanne got the letter.

I wonder if this is the same person who was sending her letters.. If so he was pretty close nearby and would have definitely knew how often she was late and that she would still leave out of her apartment between specific times for work..

I have heard about this before from a couple of sources, I cant recall at the moment; i believe it was briefly mentioned in "Dead Air". Its been awhile since i watched the H files, do u remember which #? Or do you happen to know when Joanne received the letter and/or when this guy died?
There are a few recent posts and links on the Possibilities thread. One is an obit from 2004, in Ventura. Initials DDH. And it also mention someone else tenuously connected to Jodi through a relative. In fact, another of the links posted is to an article about said relative.
