The line in the crimekittens story about going back to 1995 and picking up Jodi so she wouldnt be late and nobody could've took her was very touching.. Yeah I'm sure we all feel that way that if we could have helped her or known her long enough to know what was going on..

Out of All these theories from psychics, law enforcement and ordinary people somebody may have guessed right after 16 long yrs.. It's just sad that somebody has gotten away with this for all of these years and not even DNA has found them..
I'm wondering though did anybody compromise the investigation to law enforcement look in a different direction by purposely trying to make it be someone that it was not.. Especially with the POI..Did somebody really hear that name that morning.. The book said something about several neighbors heard her scream in their apartments.. Now that is strange that not even one person peaked out of the window.

[b]I go back and forth on the name supposedly heard by a neighbor that morning...I first heard the name of the person mentioned in BB's book Dead Air. I want to state that I enjoyed Ms. Bednar's book immensely, but feel some of the statements from witnesses, i.e. the neighbor and jogger, have little to no corroboration, undoubtedly due to the time of day their observations/experiences took place. In the case of the neighbor who heard the name being cried out that early morning, let us remember in the book she says she thought the commotion was coming from farther away than the parking lot and that maybe it was some kids in a nearby park/campground...
Im also thinking that this neighbor, that early in the morning, could possibly had been still half asleep, unsure of what she heard.

Another poster, who has had some very interesting comments and opinions here on this forum stated:

As a side note, I'd suggest we put the name she supposedly said on the back burner. The witness probably didn't hear it clearly and why, if there was something obviously disturbing going on, was it not immediately reported to the police? Could Jodi have actually clearly seen her attacker at that hour?

I have come more and more to suspect that the name mentioned is another red herring...
