Thanks, OldNews:

We had a great meeting last night. The full team was online via Skype to chat about the organization, Jodi's case and what we can do moving forward. We had people in California, Minnesota, Virginia an Florida all on at once. I love technology! We're going through the process of sharing the information we have on Jodi's case individually. Beth Bednar has covered the case extensively and has learned a lot in the last few years while compiling her book 'Dead Air'. Caroline Lowe was a crime reporter at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota and had covered numerous stories on Jodi and is checking into her archives. And Gary, Tara and I are transferring a lot of what we have on paper to digital copies for preservation. But we're checking old facts/leads as we go.

We're happy to say we're going to have much more content on the website. You'll see more articles/blog posts from all of us any given week. That will keep the website current and fresh with content.

Also, we have received the raw video for the play 'Fade to Black' and we're editing the full presentation and adding old video from Jodi's archives in a few spots. It will be available to all FindJodi.com visitors for a $5.00 donation. Donations are down for this site, and we feel the demand is high to see the play. We're anxious to get that rolled out in the coming weeks.

So thanks for asking, OldNews. We do have a mailing address so be sure to see that on the contact/donation pages if you'd like to send information or a donation. Every little bit helps.

You ask about an search for Jodi. We're not preparing an active 'search' per se, but we're not ruling it out in the future. I know several visitors like Muskgrove have offered to organize their own searches. We're eager to hear about them and will post any information that can be useful.

Thanks to everyone for their support over the years. This truly is a new chapter for this case with the advancement of our new team. Thanks again.

Josh

Random thought.  I personally subscribe to the idea that Jodi was killed immediately and dumped in a nearby body of water, maybe north of the Key Apartment.  We're all concerned about the midwestern drought, but might this not be a good time to look? All kinds of things could be revealed by the low water table and possibly through use of technology that might not have been available in 1995.

Seriously... does anyone know how long ago the police actively went on a search for Jodi?  If someone wanted them to go with them to search a certain area would they go?

Any way you could post the legal way to go on a property and look.  If you just went on someones property there might be hell to pay.

I searched the abandon farm site a couple of times with Sheriff assistance, but that was only after they contacted the owner to get permission.  But... there was never enough time to give it a through search.  The old man who previously owned it was a pack rat as you can see by the pictures on my flickr account.  He even had boxes of twigs piled in cilos and sheds.

Remember it was behind that abandon farm a man was killed and buried.

I would have like to have searched more, but the last time I asked I was told I needed probable cause.  Now, the farm site is gone and planted in corn.  Between the rows are bits and pieces of the remains.  Like someone said to me, 'what was once buried eventually works it way up to the surface.  You never know what might work its way up some day.
